Researchers point out that an increase in abdominal fat is very harmful to health, therefore, controlling abdominal fat is the primary task in weight loss. This study will help people find new methods to treat obesity.
As the saying goes, a big belly eats a lot. A recent study by Canadian scientists has found that excessive abdominal fat produces 'hunger hormones', causing people to eat more, leading to further obesity of the abdomen. This research result was published in a new issue of the 'Journal of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science'.
The researchers found that the accumulated fat in the abdomen also produces this hunger hormone. The leader of this study said that the 'neuropeptide Y' produced by the brain enhances appetite, leading to an increase in abdominal fat. The increased abdominal fat then produces more 'neuropeptide Y', further enhancing people's appetite, thus forming a vicious cycle.
